Have a site that has not been managed and I am trying to clean up everything and get an accurate count of real machines and a real endpoint protection count . Have cleaned up AD and old sccm machines .so want to kick something off in a logon script because IDK if they shut the machines down on a regular basis ,

Why not set Heartbeat discovery to daily. That should do the trick.
