Hi,
I have a nas, and I have configured my LUNS and Targets on it. I connected to those drives using iSCSI on Windows Server 2012r2.
1 have a total of 2 TB and have partitioned them into a total of 5 drives. ex: D, E, F, G, H
Now I would like to create a shared drive for the Drive Letter: D
I right clicked on it and in properties I shared it which provided me with a UNC path. I have also created a Security group and added all the users that require access to the D drive. In GPO Management Console I have used Item-Level Targeting to grant users the access to the D Drive. Also in the security tab I added the security group which has all the users in it and all is working well.
The Question:
Is there another way to do this? instead of using GPO's?
All I want to do is have a security group that I can add any user from any OU in the domain to this security group and the user can access the drive/folder and it automatically maps instead of them mapping it.
Any help will be appreciated.
