Have recently added a new MP to our SCCM environment to replace an existing one that is still running Server 2012 R2.
Installed all pre-reqs and added computer account of Primary Server to admins group.
Install seemed to run OK, got the 'Installation Successful' message etc. and seems to be operating OK, I can see activity on the MP and lots of requests in the IIS log.
But in the mpcontrol.log I have an error message that I don't get on our other MPs and it troubles me a little:
CStatusModule::Initialize(): ERROR: Could not register this process as a source of "SMS Server" events, Win32 RegisterEventSource(NULL, "SMS Server") returned error 5: Access is denied.
What is it trying to do and why is access denied? Access to what?
