I am back with another problem. On some of the Windows Servers, the SCCM client is failing to install. In the ccmsetup.log we see there is an error code 9. We rebooted the server and tried, it didn't help. Next, we turned off the firewall, and even that did not help. How do to resolve this?

Solution
Ok, no problem. CCMSetup error code 9 mainly occurs due to a prerequisite evaluation failure. The SCCM client cannot be installed on the machine because basic prerequisite checks fail before installation.

As you mentioned, installing the ConfigMgr client on Server 2008 R2 is not supported; according to SCCM's supported server OS, you must use Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 or higher to install clients.

Can you upload the log file is possible?. What servers are these and are they supported by ConfigMgr for client installation.

Since these servers are in production, we are not allowed to upload those details. These are windows server 2008 R2 i believe.
