Hoping you can help me. I work for a company that has officers all over the world but recently one site has had issues when it comes to joining an end device from the network settings in a task sequence to the domain. It was working fine before. The error code comes back as, see below, but I can't find any reference anywhere for this error number.
I use a script that grabs the LDAP line for that office to place in a specific OU as with all other sites.
I have tried the build (PXE) on a physical device and VM with the same error. on two different VLANS
I have made sure that the account name and password does work by using them in a manual input.
I have F8 to the console whilst building and all servers can be pinged and tracert with no issues.
I have used LDAP software to make sure the string is correct.
I have tried to join the device to another OU by writing the LDAP string into the task direct to test for OU corruption including the non OU computers.
The only way it now works is to leave out any info in the Domain OU setting in the Apply network settings task.
The pain is now I have to have a separate task for this office and the original task runs with no issues on the other 20 sites.
The error message is as follows but can't find it listed anywhere for the answer so turning to the best SCCM engineers on the planet for an answer (fingers crossed)
