PENDING displayName missing in Users

In SCCM - Assets and Compliance--Users - The name column shows <domain>\<user name> (<user name>).

How do I get it to display the user's full name/display name, i.e. - like this: DOMAIN\ABC123 (<Doe, Jane>) ?

Active Directory User Discovery is discovering the displayName.

It shows the displayname because that is one of the user attributes that you have set to discover under AD user discovery properties. I am not sure if full name can be discovered though.
