SOLVED [ConfigMgr 2403] Hotfix KB28204160

Greetings.

I performed an upgrade of ConfigMgr to 2403 without any hotfixes. Afterwards, I see I have 2 hotfixes: KB28290310 and KB29166583. I planned on installing them next week. However, I performed a check for updates this morning and have another hotfix. It is KB28204160. I looked at the details and it says:

Supersedes:​

Configuration Manager 2403 Hotfix (KB28290310)​

Configuration Manager 2403 Hotfix (KB29166583)​

Does that mean I do not need to install the other 2 updates then this one? Please help me with this.

The KB 28204160 hotfix includes the following previously released updates:

• KB 28290310: CMG update for Microsoft Configuration Manager version 2403
• KB 28458746: Software update management client fix for Microsoft Configuration Manager version 2403
• KB 29166583: Management point security update for Microsoft Configuration Manager version 2403

You can skip installing those old hotfixes and directly install the latest one, KB28204160. After you install it, you'll notice that all those other hotfixes disappear from the console, as they have been replaced this new update. Make sure you upgrade the clients to the latest version post update installation.
