Hello Prajwal,

I have a problem with my OSD not fully installing the ccm client. It seems like this all started after I upgraded from 2012 R2 to R2 SP1. I have looked through ccmsetup log and client.msi log but cannot pinpoint the issue. Any ideas or more info you may need from me to assist.

The client that installs is 5.00.8239.1000 but the site code isn't configured and the certificate is missing.

OK, so I am an idiot. I will say that I have built this beast from the ground up during the past year and now that I have things rolling well I think I over analyzed this. After looking at the log files you noted above I saw that failing with DNS and WINS which lead me to think it was a domain based issue. Well, since I have my images set to not join my domain during OSD since I do have quite a few in my organization that need to go out as local computers, i totally wasn't thinking about the client getting all of it's components until after it joins. So after joining these few units to my domain, all the necessary components are there now and working fine.

BTW, my version is 2012 R2 SP1.

I also want to thank you for your...
Could you upload the ccmsetup.log file ?. Are the permissions for the SCCM Site Server Computer Account on the AD System Management Container is set correctly?. I feel the assignment process that is failing. Start by checking

1) ClientIDStartupManager.log for certificat issues/approval

2) Locationservices.log/Clientlocation.log for issues related to finding a MP/SLP. These issues can be related to missing or incorrect boundaries.

I have uploaded the log file for you. The permissions seem to be correct as this was working fine until the R2 tp R2 SP1 upgrade. Next, where would the (2) log files your are referencing above be located. Client computer? CCM Server?

ClientIDStartupManager.log

Locationservices.log/Clientlocation.log
