Hey all I am getting strange errors when installing a secondary site. When choosing the option to use a current database on the secondary server, it says the logon account for the SQL server service cannot be a local user account however I have already changed the account for the SQL services.

The above talks about CM_CHK for some reason too..

Any guidance will be helpful.

Thank you!

Open up ADUC and find the Systems Management Folder, add the new site server to that folder with full permissions and make sure all descendant objects are selected. This is assuming that the schema has already been extended using ADSI Edit.

Make sure all SCCM site servers and MP's have Full permissions with all descendant objects selected.

Hey thanks for your message. That has been actioned alongside updating the Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Native Client to use TLS 1.2.

One thing I don't understand is why it is showing that the SQL Server service is a local user account - it isn't!

I'm curious why you want a secondary site and their are almost never used anymore. What are you hoping it will give you?

We have 3 satellite sites which need to be segmented and with poor internet connection.
A secondary site will not help much. All clients must talk to the Primary site. All request to the secondary site MP will ultimately to to the primary site. So... I get why you would want a DP at each of the sites and maybe a SUP but....

Personally, I now find them to be a pain... By in the day, i used them a lot.
