Hi there,
I am currently wondering in how the setting "Clients prefer to use management points specified in boundary groups" may effects the MP assignment in following constellation.
Our Site Server is in the default site boundary group and has currently still the roles MP and DP. On the other hand, we have a boundary for a specific network that also has one server with the roles MP and DP. Thirdly we have an office boundary with just one DP role.
default site boundary group
- Site Server with MP and DP
Boundary A
- Server with MP and DP
Boundary B
- Server with DP
I am noticing now that that my client, which is in the Boundary B, is always connected with the MP from the site server and regarding ClientLocation log only is connected sometimes for a second to the other MP before it switches back. Besides, we have the setting "Clients prefer to use management points specified in boundary groups" enabled.
My question now is with the client is in Boundary B, does it do a fallback to the default site boundary to get the MP or is it still the round robin method? It feels like that there is currently a preference to the site server and its MP.
Thanks in advance
Stephan
Edit:
Addtional Info:
Boundary B has a Fallback the default site boundary Group and the MP fallback enabled, maybe it is really like that
