Hi,

So I am trying to install a Application via Application deployment in SCCM 2012 R2.

I worked out the command to perform the install without prompting for anything etc but when I put it in SCCM, it didn't work as expected so I have now changed the command to perform the installation but how do I not get Software center to pick up the change? I have updated contents etc and run policy updated via SCCm client on the laptop i am using to test it on. Just wondering if i'mdoing something wrong?

At present, i load system center fine, click on the App i want to install and click install and it changes to Installing btu then immediately sys "There is a problem loading the required components for Software Center." If i click on a different application it installs fine so I thin it has something to do with that application and not software center.

My suspicion is maybe the application hasn't updated correctly or I havn't updatedit right? I'm trying to avoid deleting it and re-creating it.

Thanks

Hi k2017,

Your Management and Distribution Point are-they healthy?
Copy the MSI or EXE Setup of the application in your client and try to install it with the command line with the same command line put in SCCM in CMD client Laptop (running as an administrator). What is the result?

Hi,
yes it works fine... it finally updated and is working for 1, the other one has a issue - it installs but then says it failed even thought the application isinstalled and working...

thanks

You can update policies for SCCM Client (Application Deployment, Machine Policy...) and try again installing the application. The installation status appears on the Software Center.

probably the detection method needs to be corrected here.
