Hi All

I have a new KMS server which is not setup via DNS

I am manually activating clients using this method (for testing purpose's) . I need to manually activate 30 machines to this test KMS server using sccm. Does anyone know any handy powershell scripts that will do this ?

Thanks

Define desired KMS host:

slmgr /skms YOURKMSHOSTNAME.yourdomain.com:1688

Activate Windows against the defined host:

slmgr.vbs /ato

When I create my deployment images I define the KMS host at that time, that way when I image a PC it already looks to the correct server for activation.

P.S. from the link "MS volume activation requires a minimum threshold of 25 computers before activation requests will be processed." don't panic if the PCs don't activate until you get 25 activation attempts the KMS host isn't active.

i created a bat file with my commands and sent this as a package to my test machines, this also worked. thanks for all the tips guys, this can now be closed
