Is it possible to have 2 Windows domains (abc.local and xyz.org) in the same subnet?
Reason I need this is the fact that we are migrating all our servers to a datacenter.
This datacenter will host a new Windows domain (xyz.org) in a 10.x.x.x subnet.
The current domain (abc.local) is hosted on-premises in a 192.168.x.x subnet.
We are now creating ipsec tunnels from our satellite offices to the datacenter, what implies that clients clients cannot reach abc.local anymore.
I've ran a P2V and imported the old domain controller (abc.local) into the new environment where xyz.org is also hosted.
I want my Windows clients (temporary) be able to logon to the abc.local domain until all work in the DC is done. After that we'll decomission abc.org and join everything to xyz.org.
There is no need for a trust or whatsoever, just the ability to log on to the old domain.
Can anybody please advise me?
