Hi

I am trying to create a new test domain in my exist domain, YOURDOMAIN.COM.
We can call the new domain, MYDOMAIN.COM, see below
The new Server has Static IP address and DNS to MYDOMAIN.LOCAL and 127.0.0.1.

Not Joined, perhaps here is fault .. ;-)

I have select Active Domain Services and select that

The error messages is.
The operation failed because
Active Directory Services could not create the object CN=YOURDOMAIN.COM,CN=Partitions, CN=Configuration, CN=MYDOMAIN, CN=COM
"The Directory Service cannot perform the requested operation because a domain rename is in progress"

Any idea what I can do ?

Error DFS Replication event id 1202,

The DFS Relication service failed to contact domain controller to access configuration information. Replication is stopped. The Service will try again during the next configuration polling cycle, which will occur in 60 minutes.

The event can be caused by TCP/IP connectivity, Firewall, Active Directory Domain Services, or DNS issues.

Any Idea ?

the error message has given you four items to check, did you check them?

* TCP/IP connectivity - Check, (has internet)
* Firewall, - Check, (disabled)
* Active Directory Domain Services - Unsure (Disabled cannot Enabled)
* DNS issues - Check, (Forrest DC DNS and 127.0.0.1)

Any Idea ?

If AD is Disable that is where I would start. that is generally a bad sign.
