I am using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager 2203 version, around 1200 clients are onboarded to do the software update deployments.
Suddenly all the clients are started communicating to the console and the results is SCCM server consume overall bandwidth of the site.
Tried to stop the scheduled task but no result and I have tried to create the throttle value in Client settings but this result also unsuccessful. Kindly assist. Which is occurring on 1st of the month. We faced the same issue on 1st of July and the same issue on 1st of August. Why it suddenly consuming the bandwidth, what can we do if it happen again in future?

What is the Client Policy polling interval time?
It's set as 60mins. Attached screenshot.
But recently I haven't change the client settings just created one additional client settings and deployed it for 1 new collection which contains 2 machines.

What other activities were triggered that caused the clients to reach out to ConfigMgr server. For example, did someone push the client agents on a larger device collection?. Or was it just software deployments?
Have you deployed ADR to a device collection to deploy updates?.

It's a simply designed environment and I haven't scheduled any ADR, scripts or mass push to the clients. The only thing we will do is manual deployment of software updates on every month.

If I had to GUESS you have a setting that tell ALL of your clients to check, such an SU scan or SW inventory or maybe a deployment schedule or ??? There is no getting around that you will need to dig deeper and review the log to determine what is going on.

How EXACTLY are do deploying SU Manually? Where EXACTLY is your SUP?

BTW, 16GB or RAM for your site server is on the lite side.

Whatever the settings? It's been working in the environment for the past 1.5yrs without any issue. I am started facing the issue from last month only, that too on 1st of every month.

Either review the logs to see what is causing the problem or check every setting. it is up to you.

Nothing could be find in the logs. Any suggestions where the bandwidth consumption can be recorded.
What EXACT is happening on the client when the bandwidth is being use. That will tell you what to look at. Without knowing this, everyone is guessing at what is going on.
