Hi All

i know that there are 3 ways to deploy the client

- gpo software install
- gpo start up script
- from the console

I have configured software install but some machines are missing the client as i feel they are old machines and are not talking to the DC correctly.
I am unable to do it via the console yet as i need to do the prep work (firewall rule, admin username etc)

I want to try the start up script as i feel this will be more accurate for my domain. Does anyone have a good handy script that i can amend to use and test plz

Thanks

hi

sorry for late reply, i couldnt get this to work, my xml file script looked fine but it would not work. I instead went for the client push method from the console which worked for me. If anyone does get this to work it would be good to know

Thanks

First, you need allow the communication between your clients and the site server (HTTP, SMB, admin$...).
Second, you must create an account with administrative privileges on your clients and configure it in the Account Client Push Installation settings.
One done, you can enable a Client Push Installation and specify manually the SMSSITECODE and the SMSMP in the installation.
