PENDING Setting up Imaging with SCCM/Config Manager (going away from WDS) Have question on task sequence "stalling" or slow

built the task sequence, goes through the Install Operating System stage of tasks great, gets to the Setup Operating System Stage, and on the Win11 Cleanup, I have it run a powershell clean up script ( been using the same one when building images so know it is good) when it launches the script the Task Sequence sits at Win11Cleanup (de-bloat) so far over an hour and still going (attached image). Anyone seen this and is there a better solution (want to avoid building thick image)

does the TS ever move on from that step?
what if you disable that step?
