I have been trying to install SCCM Client but it was failing.

So I have used ccmclean and removed all the files.

Alongside, I have deleted CCM folder from C:\Windows.

I readded the device in the Configuration Manager but I still cannot push the client installation, and CCM Folder completely disappeared and is not appearing anymore.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? I am afraid I have damaged the machine for good by manually deleting CCM Folder.

Solution
Update: Problem was solved

Okay so apparently the SCCM Console is set to use HTTPS and PKI in the Site Configuation in Communication Security Tab and also in the Management Point.

The way I solved this issue is by checking the following registry
HKEY_LOCAL_mACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CCMSetup\LastValidMP

I found that the link was set to http and I changed the value to https

Then I went to an elevated CMD and applied: gpupdate /force

And then I used the following command:

pushed \\SCCM_Server\sms_sitecode\client

ccmsetup.exe /logon /SMSSITECODE=XXX

It worked like magic and I can now see the CCM Folder and all the installation files were pulled into ccmsetup folder in C:\Windows.
Yes check the below log please:

ccmsetup Log File

-----------------

<![LOG[Could not retrieve value for MDM_ConfigSetting . Error 0x80041013]LOG]!><time="00:52:43.681-180" date="04-03-2020" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="2" thread="11208" file="CcmUtilLib.cpp:3771">

<![LOG[CcmSetup is exiting with return code 0]LOG]!><time="00:52:43.681-180" date="04-03-2020" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="11208" file="ccmsetup.cpp:11501">

But now my concern is that I cannot anymore install the client no matter what and I deleted the CCM Folder which did not reappear again when I initiated the installation of the client.

Any clues about this?

Hi Prajwal again,

This is what I am getting now after I have just tried to reinstall the client.

Noting that I am lunching the setup from the SCCM site shared folder.

Please take a look at the attachment as the application is not installed at all even though the MSI Installer is done.

Return code zero means your client got installed. but again you uninstalled and tried reinstalling the client . can you attach your full ccmsetup log file here ?

Hi Goku,

Thank you for your reply,

Well I was able to solve one issue, I found that the certificate was expired and I installed a new certificate, so now it shows that the certificate validation is successful.

Now I am getting another error:

<![LOG[Failed to get client version for sending state messages. Error 0x8004100e]LOG]!><time="16:42:50.086-180" date="04-06-2020" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="2" thread="2964" file="state.cpp:169">

According to the above it says:
Failed to get client version for sending state messages. Error 0x8004100e

I fixed the WMI using WMIDIAG and recreated the repository and it's still not working.

Can y ou help.

I have attached the ccmsetup log file.
