PENDING WSUS/SCCM Disconnected

Hello,

I am a disconnect (NO INTERNET) network. The past 6 months I have been doing patches manually IMPEXing across and using SCCM to deploy. Now I have access to a Upstream server in a different forest/domain. I have the IP address and WSUS syncs fine and populates the new patches .

Problem
SCCM.... The new patches show up after a software sync and I can deploy. Do I need their UNC path so SCCM can download the patches? The part on download/deployment package. Download location? I got deployed yes and download no.

Turns out on my local WSUS box i need to approve the downloads on the wsus console so it downloads from the Upstream server. Then SCCM knows were they are.

Can i bin off my local wsus box now? Just configure the SUP to point at the new WSUS box?
