We have concern about the registry entries in windows. We need reference document from Microsoft stating that it is by default and will not create any compliance issue with Corel/Photoshop or any application.

In windows registry there are few entires like Coreldrw.exe, photoshop.exe

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellCompatibility\Applications\coreldrw.exe

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellCompatibility\Applications\photoshop.exe

We found this entries in Win 10 Pro / Server OS 2016/2019.

ANSWER FROM MICROSOFT SUPPORT

"There are no articles that I can find for that particular registry.

It seems that it’s for the compatibility settings for that application. Those keys are created by default when you install an app.

But what’s the functional loss for this?

If there is no any functional then it won’t cause any issue."
