Dear Support,

I don't have hands-on experience with networking issues, but I used basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem. We have been experiencing network bandwidth issues in the last couple of months when deploying patches to all Windows 10 devices (SCCM).

Issue Description:
250+ Windows 10 devices are being managed using SCCM. (Note: 30% of the 250+ Windows 10 devices are available at remote sites (VPN sites)).
When we deploy Windows 10 patches to all devices, many remote users report that file transfers are taking longer than normal or that the internet is slow.

It would be really appreciated if you could point us in the right way for reducing bandwidth use when we deploy patches to all devices at once.

Have you checked from which DP are the clients downloading the updates?. If the size of the updates are huge, it's always slow for VPN users than users present in offices.

The primary SCCM server is currently acting as the DP for all VPN sites.
Will the bandwidth issues be resolved by creating another DP in the nearest location?

Yes

Yes, but it also depends on speed between DP and clients over the internet. Do some speed tests by downloading the file from DP to clients that are on VPN.
