SOLVED Windows 10 1903 Update problem

Hi There,

We are in the process of updating all the workstations in our environment to 1903. Currently 1703, 1709, 1803 and 1809 are in use. Doing this via Task Sequence and TrendMicro is blocking the update. TM version in use 12.0.5400.

We worked with TM and but they stated no issues from their end. The same issue when trying to update via "Windows Update". But when TM is uninstalled the update works just fine without any issues.

Any leads on this at the earliest would be much appreciated!

Examining the Panther logs might be of some help to spot the exact issue, they vary on location depending on what's going on:

setupact.log is usually the one with all the info.

I suggest to you to add a task that uninstall TM and reinstall it after the In-Place Upgrade Task Sequence complete.

i have no problem doing the upgrade via in place upgrade from 1607 to 1903

You need to work again with TM support and tell them that when TM is uninstalled the upgrade works. If the TM support disagrees analyze the panther logs and send them the log file marking the exact error. Ultimately you know the solution to this issue and you just need to work this with TM support.
