Hi all,

Great to be a part of the forums here. I have never seen this issue before. I created a reference image, Win 10 1803 28gb after extracting. Upon importing, the size balloons to 45gb and the task sequence fails at Applying the .wim I've checked the smsts.log but nothing related to this shows up. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am on a time crunch with this. TRHanks!

Strange issue, I haven't come across this issue before. What is version of configuration manager and if you can add some screenshots, that would help.

To the left is the current image. To the right is the new one. The new one is almost identical except for 1 updated app and 1 new small app added. Same version of Win 10.

I use gimagex to extract the wim. It is 26gb upon extraction. Then balloons to 45gb in SCCM. None of my other extractions have done this. Maybe it is because this time I imaged the reference image VM with a pxe boot and used the previous image to save time on installing applications? Maybe it needs to be a fresh iso install o the VM?

This was indeed the issue. I resolved it by starting fresh.
