PENDING Will Sccm client stop working if Windows is not activated?

I have observed on few Azure machines that the sccm client stopped taking windows update in case I see Windows not activated watermark.

Can someone confirm if any troubleshooting needed or this is normal behaviour and windows must be activated.

So there is no issues with windows activation on sccm client, right?

The ConfigMgr agent does not have an activation process per se. Exactly what are you seeing within the logs?
