Wifi grayed out on windows domain joined Mac

Hello, I'm unsure if I'm posting this in the correct location,
I have a MacBook that loses wifi connection when it's logged out after connecting to the windows domain.

The wifi icon is grayed out and I am unable to connect to the wifi when I'm logged out of the local admin account,
This is the first time connecting a Mac to the windows domain, so I'm not sure if I need to do something with the NPS as the wifi is setup to use the AD for auth.
