What's new in Microsoft Intune: February 2026

The Microsoft Intune service update for February 2026 includes a host of exciting updates and enhancements including EPM support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), a direct link to Lenovo Device Orchestration, numerous updates to the Android and Apple settings catalog, new admin tasks in the Intune admin center, and much more.

The Intune updates for February 2026 should be automatically rolled out to all the tenants across major regions such as APAC, NASA, and EMEA. In the Intune admin center, go to Tenant Administration and select the Tenant Status tab to see the current service release of your tenant. For more information on previously released updates, read the article on Intune monthly updates.

The Intune release for February 2026 includes the following new features and enhancements.

1. Endpoint Privilege Management support on Azure Virtual Desktop

This was the most awaited feature and is finally available at the beginning of year 2026. Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) elevation policies now support deployment to users on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) single-session virtual machines.

2. Lenovo Device Orchestration (LDO) link in the Intune admin center

Microsoft Intune now features a seamless integration with Lenovo Device Orchestration (LDO), accessible directly from the Intune admin center. This enhancement enriches the Partner Portals experience by providing IT administrators with a centralized, secure platform to manage supported Lenovo devices. IT admins can effortlessly access the Lenovo Device Orchestration portal to utilize Lenovo-specific device management tools and capabilities.

To access the Lenovo Device Orchestration, in the Intune admin center, go to Devices > Partner Portals and select Lenovo Device Orchestration.

3. Newly available protected apps for Intune

The following protected apps are now available for Microsoft Intune:
  • Clarity Express for Intune by Rego Consulting Corporation
  • Datadog by Datadog Inc.
  • Qlik Analytics by Qlik
  • Tier1 for Intune by SS&C Technologies, Inc. (iOS)

4. New supported OEMConfig apps for Android Enterprise

The following OEMConfig apps are available in Intune for Android Enterprise:
  1. FCNT - Senior Care | com.fcnt.mobile_phone.seniorcareconfig
  2. FCNT - Schema | com.fcnt.mobile_phone.schematest
  3. Sonim | com.sonim.oemappconfig

5. Windows feature update reports support Windows 11, version 25H2

The Windows Feature Update Compatibility Risks Report and the Windows Feature Update Device Readiness Report now support Windows 11, version 25H2, as a selectable target OS. By selecting this version under "Target OS," the reports offer enhanced insights to evaluate device readiness and pinpoint potential compatibility risks before deploying the feature update.

6. Admin tasks in Microsoft Intune are now generally available

Administrative tasks in the Intune admin center have moved out of preview and are now generally available. This feature offers a centralized hub where administrators can easily discover, organize, and manage common tasks that were previously dispersed across the Intune admin center. Found under Tenant Administration, this streamlined interface includes search, filtering, and sorting capabilities, enabling admins to efficiently prioritize and address tasks without the need to navigate through multiple sections.

7. Intune ending support for legacy Apple MDM software update policies

With the release of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26, Apple has deprecated legacy mobile device management (MDM) software update commands and payloads. As a result, Microsoft Intune will soon end support for creating legacy iOS/iPadOS and macOS software update policies. To continue managing Apple software updates in Intune, configure update policies using Apple's declarative device management (DDM) model. DDM provides a more modern and reliable approach to managing software updates, with improved device autonomy and reporting.

8. Autopatch update readiness

Autopatch Update Readiness offers a seamless, centralized platform for monitoring and addressing Windows update issues across devices enrolled in Intune and Windows Autopatch groups. Through a single, comprehensive dashboard, administrators can access insights on all managed devices, including enrollment status and policy assignments, enabling a clearer understanding of update preparedness across their organization. Key capabilities include: Device update journey, Centralized alerting, Update readiness checker, and Repair devices with OS reinstall.

9. New setting controls MDM enrollment during account registration on Windows

A new setting that affects the Microsoft Entra account registration experience on Windows is available in the Microsoft Intune admin center. The setting, Disable MDM enrollment when adding work or school account on Windows, controls whether devices enroll in MDM during the account registration flow. The default setting is set to No, which allows MDM enrollment. See how to Block Personal Devices from Enrolling to Microsoft Intune.
