Hey Prawald,
Came across your site while working on SCCM issue. Awesome site! I have been tasked to upgrade SCCM RTM version to SP1 and then eventually to R2. Some of the documents I have from Technet site is recommending to create another instance of the SCCM DB and test an upgrade there before actually upgrading the production system. The RTM installation I have is not full production although I have all the required site and components installed. I do have some clients that we have deployed the endpoint protection.
My question is do I have to set up another SQL instance, or will a backup of the SQL be enough and since I am running on a VM a snapshot of the VMs
I am running SCCM on a VM instance connecting to a remote SQL 2008 on another VM.
If you can share some insights or documents that would good.
Thank you.
Buck
