Hi,

I have a question regarding SCCM agent upgrade on workgroup client.

1) What is the best approach to upgrade the agent on the workgroup client? Uninstall and install back the agent will do?
2) Let say if the approach to uninstall and install back the agent on workgroup, then after reinstall does we need to APPROVE the client back in SCCM console?

Regards,
Abdul Khafiq

Since the Client push installation is not possible on workgroup computers, I would assume manually upgrading the SCCM client agents is the only way.
I don't think you have to uninstall the older client, if you copy the new client agent setup files and run the ccmsetup, it should upgrade the client to the latest version. I have never tried this before, so you can go ahead and try this method. Let me know if that works.
