SOLVED Updates Problem in Windows 7

Hi,

i have some client machine which is getting update via internet. so my problem is i have WSUS server and these machine cannot take update from WSUS server.

Please help me for this issue so i can do update from our server.

done basic step like : stopping services and restart windows update/Server services & deleted Softwaredistrubution files and also deleted registry but nothing happen.

i am attaching file for your reference.

Have you configured the Windows Updates GPO settings ?. Have you configured the intranet update service setting ?. If yes, check if the GPO is applied to the client machines (Run rsop.msc on the client machines).

This is an issue related to WSUS, I am moving this thread to WSUS forums.
 
Thanks for your prompt response, issue has been resolved. The problem was computer name mistake :D

but i want to ask you one thing once i excuted the rsop.msc it is showing me yellow cross mark in Computer configuration and red mark in user configuration, please find attached file.

Hi Rahul : It means that group policies are not taking effect properly.It will show you some message IDs also... This is happen in most of the cases when DNSlookup failure issues are there..

Kindly check preferred DNS server setting with firewall settings enabled which can be enabled in windows 2003
