Hi,

I have upgraded my SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 to SCCM Current Branch 1606 successfully.
Then I wanted to do an in-place upgrade to the latest version, 1610.
The prerequisites check gave me a warning.

[Completed with warning]:Checks for supported SQL Server version

I have one primary site with SQL Server 2012 with SP1 (version 11.0.3000.0).
For SCCM 1610 I need at least SQL 2012 SP2.

My question is:
Are there any special things I need to pay attention to when upgrading SQL on the SCCM server?
Any guide that I have to follow?
Some services or tasks I need to stop while upgrading?
Or can I just go ahead and install it, reboot, and everything will work?

Thanks

Thank you very much Prajwal.
I appreciate your help.

So basically, other than a backup is not necessary?
Once I have a backup I could go ahead and update SQL Server without any other prerequistes.

I installed the SP 1 update on my SCCM machine with no problem. Thing is that you must update manualy and not via SCCM. All is OK!
It's actually SP2, I mistyped in the title.

So you installed the Service Pack, rebooted, and all worked fine?
