NEW Two primary site configuration

Need advice on a design I need to implement. I currently have an existing primary site in a domain with all roles configured. The existing instance requires manual wsus content to be imported, I need to set up another primary site in a different domain, there is a trust. I don’t want to have to do the copy twice to save time..

Is it best to implement the new primary site to use the existing SUP or DP?

If the existing sites SUP is using SUSDB could another avenue be to use a shared DB?
