Need a reliable method of viewing recent Task Sequence jobs from Config Manager on the server. I don't mind how this is done, but I need to be able to do this regularly.

I have a client device now, for example, that is failing to deploy from the Task Sequence. I need to be able to see where exactly in the TS this is failing, and I need to be able to see this from Config Manager. I am trialling Larsen Reports for this, and they look very useful, except this particular device isn't showing up at all as having a TS deployed to it so it is not viable as a solution.

Is there some kind of report or query I can run from Config Manager to say hey, this is my device name, where is this Task Sequence failing?

Thank you.

When the task sequence fails, it actually shows at what step it failed. There should be an error code and if you view the smsts.log file on the client computer, you will get to know where it failed and with error.
Now that you want to view the OSD progress from ConfigMgr, you can use status message queries. First make a note of your task sequence package ID. Next go to status message queries and create a new status message query. Use the below query and replace it with your task sequence Package ID.
Code:
select SMS_StatusMessage.*, SMS_StatMsgInsStrings.*, SMS_StatMsgAttributes.*, SMS_StatMsgAttributes.AttributeTime
from SMS_StatusMessage
left join SMS_StatMsgInsStrings
on SMS_StatMsgInsStrings.RecordID = SMS_StatusMessage.RecordID
left join SMS_StatMsgAttributes
on SMS_StatMsgAttributes.RecordID = SMS_StatusMessage.RecordID
where SMS_StatMsgAttributes.AttributeValue = "TSPACKAGEID" and SMS_StatMsgAttributes.AttributeTime >= ##PRM:SMS_StatMsgAttributes.AttributeTime##
order by SMS_StatMsgAttributes.AttributeTime
DESC

Finally right-click the Status Message Query that you created and click Show Messages.
