NEW Testing Basic Server Functionality After Deploying OS Updates

Is anyone aware of a Powershell script or other software testing product that can be used to automagically test a server for basic or even advanced functionality after applying OS updates from Microsoft?
Think about it, Microsoft must use something after they apply an update that they create. What do they use to do regression testing?
