Hi,

I am trying to install Symantec PGP .msi client.

After pushing the client it would forcefully reboot the client.

After adding /norestart options at the end of the command line, would stop it from rebooting but pick up default computer restart policy and counter starts that system will be rebooted in 90 mins.

Ideally I would like the user to have the control if he wants to restart at that moment or later similar to one when we do the windows update.

Any Ideas.

Thanks,

As far as i know Symnatec PGP client needs a mandate reboot to complete the installation. Why do you want to bypass the reboot ?

I don't mind system restarting after the client deployment but I want user to have control if he wants to restart the system right away or later with no time constraint
Thanks

Some apps (.msi) do not allow to bypass reboots, I am not sure about the PGP client but you can check in PGP software forums on this. If the /norestart switch is not working then its worth checking if it allows to bypass reboots.
