PENDING System Center Reinstall-Console does not open

Hello I had to reinstall SCCM 2012 R2 cause of a PXE issue and now I can not even open up the console. The logs point some type of SQL error however I don't know how to read them I am new to SCCM and hesitate troubleshooting as it could lead to further issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is SQL running on the same machine where SCCM is installed ?. I cannot exactly say if its a firewall related issue. Could you check if the SQL computer name is resolved from another machine ?. Try doing ping -a SQLServerHostname and let me know what is the output.
