do you recomend SQL cluster for the System Center Configuration Manager Instance? Boss in the office want to implement SQL in cluster for it but I want to know the pro and cons. The SQL cluster is 2016 version as well as the SCCM. Also SCCM have one primary site and secondary site configuration.
Thanks for your advices.

What version of CM are you running? You can have a cluster for CM database but you will still need a stand along db for SSRS (Reporting point)

We have System Center Configuration Manager 2016. and yes we cant have SSRS in SQL cluster we discovered this negative point. My question is.. Is not too much to have a SQL cluster for a SCCM? what are the pros and cons?

Since there is no product call SCCM 2016, you must be use CMCB but it is unclear which version, 1806 is the latest.

Without know alot more details, there isn't must anyone can say. But generally if you are using a cluster if mean there are other application on the server. It is generally not recommend to share CMCB SQL with other application. You get a free license for SQL But it has to only be used for CMCB/SSRS/WSUS and a few other apps. it can't be used for another apps.

Honestly remote SQL increase complexity 10 fold, if not more, so in most cases, I would suggest not doing it. particularly in smaller shops. aka under 20k computer.
