Hi Everyone,
I have inherited a SCCM environment that was originally only set up for intranet based clients. But due to Covid19 we need to implement internet based client management. I have been through the 2 following YouTube videos and configured PKI certs for our clients and DPs/MPs and also configured the ICBM DP/MP.
I have tested this configuration and it seems to work correctly, e.g. i can install software to Internet based clients if they have the PKI cert installed and it won't install to self signed clients.
But before i open up the firewall rules to allow all internet clients I noticed that self signed internet clients were reporting their online status to SCCM which i thought was odd.
So my question is, is this normal behavior for self signed internet based clients to be able to report its status without a PKI cert installed? Or have i ballsed something up and I should go through the config again?
