We are very excited to upgrade one of the customer's infra from 1806 to 1910 . Infra consist of one standalone primary site , 89 secondary and 120+ remote DP's . All well and good for primary upgradation , we have done within expected time . But once we started secondary site upgradation all servers are getting failed . Not even its completing prereq check. We have gone through the logs several times. We got below error in common

[Failed]:The collation of the site database does not match the collation of the parent site's database. All sites in a hierarchy must use the same database collation.

[Failed]:Current SUM configuration uses virtual locations for some of the active SUPs. Please remove any virtual locations from the existing SUM configuration.

[Failed]:Either the user account running Configuration Manager Setup or NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM does not have sysadmin SQL Server role permissions on the SQL Server instance selected for site database installation, or the SQL Server instance could not be contacted to verify permissions. Setup cannot continue.

Logs-

1.ConfigMgrPrereq.log or go to below
2.Monitoring / Update and Servicing Status, right-click your Update Name and select Show Status
3.SCCM Installation Directory\Logs\CMUpdate.log

We have given all the required permissions by adding primary and secondary site server computer accounts to local admin group. Given security admin and sysadmin rights for primary site server computer account in SQL of secondary. Collation of primary and secondary are same .Nothing has worked at all .

Finally we have tried disabling the AV , but disabling trend-micro AV has not resolved the issue . Then we tried uninstalling the AV and tried upgrade . This time all went well .We have successfully upgraded all our secondary site to 1910 . post upgrade we have reinstalled AV .
