Good day all,

I have a question regarding SCCM and reloading pc's with the same name without deleting them from SCCM 1st. In my experience it is always better to delete the pc name from SCCM and AD before reloading the pc.

Here are my questions :
  1. When a pc is reloaded with PXE without removing from SCCM , what happens to applications that was already deployed to said PC name?
    1. Will applications be re-installed ? In my experience it does not, unless I am doing something wrong.
    2. Package is set to only re-run on failure : 1617875102142.png
  2. What is best practice for above scenario?
The reason for my post is we have some machines where certain apps gets manually uninstalled or pc's get reloaded but does not auto re-install even it the pc is part of deployment.
My understanding of this is as SCCM already has a success entry in its database it will not re-install the application/package as it shows success on the deployment, or is this incorrect?

I hope this post make at least some sense,

Thanks and regards

The answer will depend on if the computer creates a new recorde within SCCM or keeps / merges the records within SCCM.
