Hi,
I am experiencing the problem with SCCM OSD. Everything in the task sequence goes well until it gets to the step where it needs to install the first application. After this it stucks for few hours. There are no logs in SMSTS.log. It stucks at this step and nothing happens. I read over 50 articles and nothing helped. Tested it with restart before, with Sleep commands as it was recommended, but still the same. It stucks for hours like this in the second picture without logs. Btw. the screenshot was taken when GlobalProtect was the first application in the TS to be installed. Please help and thanks.

Do you see any activity in the appenforce.log? How is the globalprotect app configured, is it a package or application?

Globalprotect is configured as an application. Actually, everything that I tried to run was configured as the application and stucks. No activity in the appenforce.log.

Does this globalprotect app installation succeeds when you deploy it as an application? Have you tested that?

Yes, it succeeds. But I think it's not up to that app. I tried it also with M365 and also stucks and happens nothing for hours. Also added Adobe Reader DC and it needed 40 minutes to install. After all, I logged into the machine and Adobe was really installed.

Actually, I found some logs for adobe and global protect example now (first 3 pictures are logs for Adobe, and the 4. is of global protect):

It started installing it at 8:34:56 (first picture), then you can see at 8:35(second picture), and then nothing happens until 9:05, and at 9:07 it says it is installed(third picture).

After this, globalprotect app is next in the task sequence and by logs it starts at 9:08 (picture 4). Whole time it says the same as for Adobe before:

" CAppMgmtSDK::GetEvaluationState ScopeId_9FC3D37A-EB7E-4AFA-BACA-E31F9BC75460/RequiredApplication_b2e64a4a-7521-422a-828c-6969a6207c54.3 = AvailableForEnforcement DCMAgent 10/9/2024 9:08:11 AM 2092 (0x082C) " AND

" Checking if ScopeId_9FC3D37A-EB7E-4AFA-BACA-E31F9BC75460/RequiredApplication_b2e64a4a-7521-422a-828c-6969a6207c54 is an application group DCMAgent 10/9/2024 9:08:11 AM 2092 (0x082C) " AND

" CAppMgmtSDK::GetEvaluationState: ScopeId_9FC3D37A-EB7E-4AFA-BACA-E31F9BC75460/RequiredApplication_b2e64a4a-7521-422a-828c-6969a6207c54, state: AvailableForEnforcement, ciCurrentState: NonCompliant, m_ciResolvedState: Available, m_ciConfigureState: NotNeeded, m_ciEnforceState: EnforcementUnknown, m_ciApplicabilityState: Applicable, m_ciEvalState: Idle, enforceprogress? False "

As I can see it is just repeating those logs, but after some time stops and nothing happens for hours. Globalprotect was still in progress after 4 hours on OSD.

Thanks for your time.
