Hi,
I need some help with this. I've been tasked with deploying software and to include a txt file to go out with the application. The txt file will be used as the detection method for the application. When other Admins are having issues with the application, they can delete this txt file and SCCM will get triggered to redeploy the application. I dont need any context in the txt file. Just a file to be present that can be deleted to force a reinstall of the application.
Is this possible within SCCM? If so, any guidance would be great. I'm struggling with this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Solution
Use the file (drop down menu) choice in the detection method after creating a package in the Application model.
In this example, I've selected the file under C:\windows\temp as a detection method.

Thanks for the response. Appreciate it.
That file did not work for me. But the application drops a file in that same temp folder. I was able to use the file from the application as my detection method.

Tested and when I remove it, SCCM tries to reinstall the application. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Thanks again! Great site. Even better forum.
