PENDING SCCM Client not showing on the Console as installed.

I have an issue I cannot figure out. I have SCCM v2006. I have successfully been able to deploy the client to my test pc, Config manager appears in control panel and shows it configured to the correct site. The issue is it does not show in the SCCM console and I cannot access it from SCCM server. I am not sure what is causing this to happen. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Client IP address is in SCCM boundary.

Can you successfully ping the device from your SCCM server ?. Use the nslookup and see if you can resolve the machine name.
