SOLVED SCCM Client not downloading content to ccmcache

Hi everyone I'm managing a site with 1500 clients, and more than half of them are not receiving any package/applications that i deployed. In the reporting the status is stuck forever as "waiting for content". It used to work fine before and I'm sure I don't change anything in the configuration.

Here are the symptoms of the failing clients (snippets of the log attached at the end of this post, if you interested to take a look at it) :
  • On CAS.log i can see that clients already found the download location, which is in my DP
  • Client already initiate communication to DP, there is no IIS error log in DP (DP already set to allow anonymous access)
  • Contenttransfermanager.log said CTM job has entered phase CCM_DOWNLOADSTATUS_DOWNLOADING_DATA
  • After a while, CTM job switching location to other DP and then it gets stuck there, the next log entry says "Job impersonating logged on user" and then "job revereted impersonation"
  • It keeps looping in downloading and then switching location to other DP
  • I'm observing that package folder already created in ccmcache folder but the content is blank
  • It also seems that CCMDTS job on BITS is never triggered
  • Of course I've tried restarting MP, DP, clients, SQL server, and even reinstalling the CCM agent on client machine is not solving the issue
  • Other clients that are not impacted by the issue are able to download from any DP, and they resides in the same boundary with the failing clients (same subnet range, same AD site, same MP, same DP, receiving the same windows update.. I still can't think of anything that differs them)
  • Tried deploying several package, and issue happens consistently on the same clients.
I've been pulling my hair in these last couple of weeks trying to solve this issue but so far has no found any clue of what may causing the issue.

Please kindly advise.. :(

Try to uninstall the client with sccmcleaner tool then delete the CCM, ccmcache, ccmsetup folders located in C:\Windows.

After this, try to reinstall the client and test again a deployment.

Thanks for resurrecting this 2years old thread, I’ve found the solution by that time but I didn’t post it here because I thought this forum is inactive anyway ;)
But seeing someone with the same problem, I cant just standby. Please note that my solution may not works for you but you can try check the BITS job queue on the problematic client. In my case, the CCMDTS job never triggerred because the BITS job queue was full by jobs from Google Chrome (by that time there was some kind of bug on Chrome where it creates a load of junks in the BITS job queue - not sure if this bug still exists by now).

From SCCM standpoint, everything works fine and therefore reinstalling the client won’t help - at least in my case. The only solution is to clear your BITS job queue. After that, deployment works again.

Sorry I can’t remember the steps clearly but you can always look up on the internet on how to check and clear the BITS job queue.

No problem man and thank you for your tips, I will verify the BITS, but, I have a Google Chrome deploy that is stuck also, I will check it.

The problem is that it is happening with all my clients, more than 100 computers, but, I will try it with a few clients and see what happens.. Unfortunately now I fix a issue and two more apprears, it is like I'm drying up ice...
