PENDING SCCM Client agent upgrade from 2007 to 1606

Hello,
We have some odd 40,000 machines that are having 2007 client. We would like to upgrade these machine to 1606. Any suggestion how to proceed for that. I've created a package that runs the batch file with command line as eg:\\mpserver.com\client$\ccmsetup.exe /mp:servername smsitecode=xyz smsmp=server.com and create an advertisement. When I try to run the advertisement the execmgr log says program exit code with 1. Manually the command is working fine.

Okay, what's your SCCM version ?.

Currently running 2007 sp2 client version is 4.00.6487.2000.

I believe you should upgrade your SCCM 2007 to SCCM 1606 and then upgrade your client agents.

We have parallely configured 1606 servers. Wont that help?

The client agent can communicate to only one environment. Each environment should have a different site code. If the client agent needs to be upgraded then use the client push install wizard > select uninstall existing software and install client agent and give a try.
