Hey,

I've set up an ADR for Windows Defender updates and it actually seems to work fine.
However I've been paying attention again lately to the fact that the component status to Distribution Manager is critical.
I keep getting messages like:

Distribution Manager failed to access the source directory "\\SERVER\SCEP\MDAV\0823b840-f0f8-4f90-89ec-fab84c4b5372" for content "0823b840-f0f8-4f90-89ec-fab84c4b5372" (content ID = 0823b840-f0f8-4f90-89ec-fab84c4b5372). The operating system reported error 3: The system cannot find the path specified.

When I check the contents of \\SERVER\SCEP\MDAV\ I can confirm no such folder exists. A lot of others do.
Also, a quick search didn't yield any mention of those folders named after GUID's
The folders do contain files like AM_Engine.exe, AM_Engine_Patch, AM_Delta_Patch

My last sync files were missing not downloaded yet that I had approved with WSUS.
I have a far more unique setup though where my SCCM/MECM is in a disconnected network. I have to import updates from a remote WSUS via WSUSUTIL.exe import / export commands.
My problem is sometimes when I do the robocopy the files get corrupted or missing.

Something else I have found that can cause this issue if you see sporadic distribution errors is Elastic Agent will lock files even if its in Observe only mode. Making your distribtion fail.
