I took over our SCCM environment about 9 months ago. Something I have discovered it that there are no security patches showing for our Server 2012 r2 machines. I checked to make sure WSUS was selected to download them and it was not. I made that change and they still will not show in SCCM. I don't see any errors.

Why not configure the settings from SUP instead of using WSUS ?. If already tried that, uninstall the SUP role, install it back and configure it from scratch. Post then check if security updates are synced.

The SUP role pulls the Microsoft updates from WSUS right? We have a mixed environment of Server 2008 up through Server 2012 R2. It is only the Server 2012 R2 Security updates that are not showing up in SCCM.

WSUS downloads updates catalog and update binaries when SCCM requests them. Did you try to uninstall the SUP role, install it back and configure it from scratch ?.

I'll have to wait until our Maintenance window to do that. In the mean time, is there something i might be overlooking? Some check box to include 2012 R2 updates?
