Hi All,

We are using SCCM 1806 but pxe is not working at the moment.

From what i have been reading, version 1806 has the option to do pxe boot without the need for a wds server. This is something that we are trying to setup

My network team has used IP helpers for this and i have ticked the box in the distribution point. When i attempt pxe on a device it is not getting a dhcp address at all.

My question is do i need to specify any dhcp options for this to work or is this method supposed to work without the need for this?

Thanks

Do you have multiple VLAN's in your setup ?.

For testing - Configure DHCP options 66,67 and check if the PXE client picks up boot image.

If you have multiple VLAN's then IP helpers should do the job. Anyways let me know how the testing goes.

with multiple vlans and iphelpers and the option ticked on the dp would there not be the need for the 66 and 67 then ?

Using DHCP options you direct PXE clients to an appropriate NBP to download. Configuring IP Helpers on your network will allow you to point to the WDS server directly.

Hi, I have manged to get this to work :). There was a patch that was missing from the sccm server which i installed. I can now pxe. I can not pxe from another Vlan but that is a network issue for my network team. This can be marked as resolved

Thanks
