SOLVED sccm 1806 currently logged on user not populating

Any thoughts? The client is up to date, it's been a week since I've upgraded to 1806, but the currently logged on user will not populate.

I found the answer, so I'm posting it, in case anyone else has the issue. We did not have Active Directory User Discovery turned on- as soon as I changed this setting, the column began to populate.
