Hi all,

Just a quick question, we have two sites, SCCM is on the the larger site (site1) and the smaller site (site2) has about 50 PC's with a 100MB VPN to connect back to site1 so I setup a remote DP on site2 but I am a bit confused about windows updates for that site.

Do I distribute my windows update deployment to the new DP on site2 from site1 and will the client grab the updates from the local DP and install or do I need to set-up the the new DP as a update point as well and install WSUS on that ?

Many Thanks in advance :)

A.1 - If site 2 is your primary site, then you can distribute Sources to primary site. This will reflect faster than site 2, because all your 50 Pcs main DB linked to Primary site Only.
A -2 : Client get the update from nearest MP as MP communicate with local Site DP.

A.3 - WSUS update automatically as it is linked to Primary Site of database. So you no need to install WSUS on remote DP.

Hope it clarify you querries.

Open for other suggesstion also :)
