Hi all,

I've created a distribution point (serverY) on a new server and distributed all the content of the existing one (on the primary server --> ServerX) to this new point.
Then I removed the distribution point role from the primary server and moved the content library to a network share (Administration --> site configuration --> Sites --> Manage content library).

Things look good but the folder SCCMContentLib still exists on ServerY and new packages are still added there (but als on the network share).
Is this expected behavior or can I distribute packages only to the network share and remove the content from serverY?

Have you deleted the DP server from the console since the DP role was removed?. Was the DP role uninstallation successful? In some cases, when you uninstall the DP role, not all content library folders are deleted, you have to manually remove them.

DP role is removed from the primary server (SCCMP01) and I deleted the SCCMContentLib folder.
DP role and SCCMContentLib folder are on SCCMDPP01.

Content library move was succesful to the network share (no errors in distmgr.log).

SCCMDPP01 still has the SCCMContentLib folder. Do I need to delete this folder?
I assume that you still need a DP even if the content library is on a share.
